INFOGRAPHIC - Auguste Lumiere 150th Anniversary

This infographic is celebrating the 150th birthday (published 2012) of the French inventor, photographic pioneer, and filmmaker, August Lumiere (born October 19, 1862). Auguste and his brother, Louis, scientists by profession, invented the machine called a cinematograph. They made numerous popular films, presenting them to large audiences for the first time in history. The birth of cinema is considered to date from December 28, 1895, when the first public screening, with the help of the cinematograph, was held.
